Friends of the Woods & Park Scheme
Friends of Dunmore East Woods & Park is a voluntary initiative set up by the trustees to help meet the cost of maintaining and insuring the local woods and park.
A condition of the 1924 indenture is that “the trustees shall bear, pay and discharge all existing and future rates, taxes and charges” relating to the woods and park. This requires the Trust to fundraise in order to meet its financial obligations — and in recent years, rising costs have made this increasingly challenging.
We therefore invite members of the community to support the Friends initiative and help the Trust continue its work.
Becoming a Friend
- Friends are asked to donate a set amount on an annual basis for a 3-year period.
- Payment is made via standing order through your bank.
- Your support will be acknowledged on our Friends of the Woods & Park list.
- Above all, Friends play a vital role in helping the trustees protect and conserve our much-loved local amenities.
- After the 3-year period, Friends will be invited to continue with the scheme or to cease payments.
If you are interested in becoming a Friend, please complete the sign-up form — or contact the Trust if you would like further information.
