Overview

The Town & Village Renewal scheme (through Waterford City & County Council) facilitated the clearance of a fire-damaged and vandalised area of the park, which has now become known as The Lookout Garden. This improved one of the park’s key scenic locations. The Trust subsequently sought funding to reinforce the newly opened boundary with salt-tolerant trees and shrubs. The objective was to strengthen the park boundary while preserving the panoramic views over Dunmore Bay. This planting was funded by Waterford City & County Council.
